In 1990, our furniture store started as the first furniture manufacturing business in Myanmar with our local brand name Modern House Furniture.
In 1994, we have established an import company called Courts Myanmar Co., Ltd.
In 2012, we launched our new designer gallery York Designer by Courts Myanmar that provides high quality designer furniture from United States, Canada, and Italy.
We have expanded our retail network to Yangon, Mandalay, Taunggyi, NayPyiDaw and Pyi. We also wholesale to various parts of the rest of the country.
In 2020, we became the international licensee of Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc and opened our first Homestore in March of 2020.

Our own local brand, Modern House Furniture, was created in 1990 with half a dozen workers and one showroom, an extension off of a residence. This collection has been the first to introduce western style furniture in the country. We mainly custom-made living room furniture and provides services according to our customers' need such as re-upholstery. Fabric selection is wide with variety from Asia and Europe. Leather collection is imported mainly from Malaysia, China, and Thailand. Quality assurance is our main concern and we have not had a failed suspensions system throughout our business. We strive to ensure excellency in quality and workmanship. The fact that our employees has been with us since the start-up shows our commitment to work ethic.
Courts Myanmar Co., Ltd is the first furniture importer from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and China. We have corporate with famous brand names such as Caccina, AD, Melody, Gold Stone Art and many more. We are famous for the bedroom sets, dining sets, leather furniture, office furniture and synthetic marble furniture.
York Designer by Courts Myanmar introduces elegance, class and modern in contemporary style that our market has never seen before.
